Back in 1963, Dave Bridge stopped me in a crowded hallway between classes to tell me excitedly about a wonderful movie he had seen the week before. It wasn't called "It's A Semi Mad World". It was called "It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World". He went through some of the highlights. He said I really needed to see it! It didn't just make his day, it probably made at least his week. I recently awoke from a nap with that day in the crowded hallway on my mind.
I think Dave died in a car crash back around 1970, but I'm not sure if this is correct.
Some teenage boys went around looking for fights -- that certainly wasn't the David Bridge that I knew.
